VIBRATION TESTING
Pikus has engineered 3D column prints to withstand the movement of a vibrator when filled with concrete. As part of the testing protocol, Pikus will ensure all vibration testing is done in accordance with local regulations and utilizes the materials that the print will be filled with. We test every column that goes out the door using large concrete vibrators and sticking to set testing standards and likewise will test all relevant projects and prints.

Vibration Testing
Passing Results v. Fail Results
-
Testing fails occur when the print cracks or implodes during vibration. This usually occurs when the engineering is faulty or the print is filled without proper hardware. When a product fails the test, it is then re-printed with some elements re-engineered before it is retested.
-
The product will pass vibration testing when it is filled with material (typically concrete, soil, or water) and does not implode while on the vibrator. Records of pass and fail results may be provided upon request. All column designs have undergone vibration testing with registered testing facilities before being released to job sites.
