Testing and Results

Through testing and engineering, Pikus has successfully engineered prints to hold up under dropping weights according to BIFMA regulations.

Pikus has engineered 3D prints to withstand extreme pressure from soil and concrete infill after several rounds of testing.

Pikus regularly tests all water features to ensure the prints will properly withstand complete infill pressure with no leaks.

Pikus has tested the freeze-thaw in real conditions for four years. Testing data is collected from several Utah-based locations in seasonal outdoor weather.

Installation of PikusPrinted designs has been its own engineering adventure. Pikus has created several installation features to make it easier and safer than ever to install 3DPG.

Over the past four years, Pikus has shipped several prints that have broken in the process. To combat breakage in shipping, Pikus developed surefire processes to keep your design safe until it arrives on site.

At Pikus, we have created a simple and highly tested repair method that can be used to repair any sign of spalling or salt damage.

Spalling

Like other testing results, 3DPG has proven to be much more durable than traditional concrete.

Pikus has tested and retested our material against traditional concrete, and it has resulted in eye-opening data.

Salt Damage

Pikus has conducted testing at registered facilities regarding the endurance of our materials under the stress of rapid vibrations. Our research has led us to develop effective methods of preventing the collapse of columns.
