VANES

These vanes were designed as a protective art piece to provide shelter for the office structure. The unique design diverts the flow of wind away from the building while providing shade in the summer and privacy from the road. These ten-foot-tall columns were each printed in a single day and shipped out from the Pikus Lab shortly thereafter. Though the installation site had not been correctly prepared, the simple “drop-in-place” nature of 3D-printed elements allowed the crew to complete this project with minimal complications.
